Job Summary of CAD Technician:
We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for drawing customer orders to the required specifications and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. This role requires proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks, as well as experience with tooling software such as Amada or similar. Experience in sheet metal is essential to understand and interpret drawing configurations accurately.
Key Responsibilities of CAD Technician:
- Draw customer orders to the required specifications.
- Follow the issued scheduled plan and identify and resolve potential issues.
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered to and promote a safety-first culture.
- Adhere to Quality procedures and encourage continuous improvement with a right-first-time, better-every-time mentality.
- Modify customer orders using 2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks.
- Use tooling software to program punch machines, including Amada software or similar.
- Implement changes in CAD models to aid production.
- Liaise with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide an order list for procurement and delivery documents.
- Review and verify all drawings and manufacturing documents prior to the production stages to minimize errors.
- Apply expertise in sheet metal to understand and interpret drawing configurations.
- Drive continuous improvement of products.
Working Hours of CAD Technician:
08:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks.
- Experience with tooling software such as Amada or similar.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Quality procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with departments.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in sheet metal to help understand drawing configurations.
Preferred Qualifications of CAD Technician:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in continuous improvement initiatives.
