Finance Business Partner

SF Recruitment are delighted to be working on a retained basis with a high growth construction business based in the Coleshill area. This business have grown significantly through acquisitions and require a Finance Business Partner to support them with the next phase of their journey.
This role involves overall responsibility for the Profit and Loss account and Balance Sheet for a specific region within the company. It requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, processes, forecasts, and analyses. They are looking for an individual with excellent analytical skills and a strong business acumen. The role includes acting as the second-in-command to the Finance Director and supporting the wider business.

Duties Include:

- Business Partnering - Collaborate strategically with the Operations Team to achieve financial targets and drive profitable growth through in-depth analyses and sharing of key financial insights. Support day-to-day and strategic financial decisions.
- Reporting - Contribute to monthly, weekly, and daily financial reporting, profitability analysis, commentary, and variability analysis, adhering to deadlines.
- Process Improvement - Propose improvements and simplifications to existing processes in alignment with finance and operations teams.
- Accountability - Independently manage day-to-day financial and commercial aspects of the business unit.
- Assist the Finance Director in delivering strategic actions, examining spend trends, maximising profitability, and implementing best financial practices and the new ERP System (D365).

Requirements:

- Relevant academic education in Finance or equivalent, preferably studying for an accountancy qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar industry (installation, construction, SaaS, or decentralized organization).
- Proven experience in finance with a background in a business partnering role within a similar business.
- Knowledge of Project Accounting
- Analytical and numerical proficiency with confidence in handling complex data.
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving skills to identify causes of issues and recommend solutions.
- Capability to build effective relationships within the local region and across the wider group.
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with Microsoft D365 (or AX)
