Support Worker – Secure Patient Transport (Driver Essential)
Locations: Chesterfield, Sheffield, Rotherham, Nottingham, Wakefield, Doncaster, Dewsbury
Pay:
- £12.00 per hour during 3-month probation (£24,960 per annum)
- £13.00 per hour after probation (£27,040 per annum)
Essential Criteria:
- Full UK driving licence, 5 years UK residency, over 21 years of age
- Enhanced DBS and subscribed to the update service
- Available to work Monday to Sunday on a rota basis (full-time permanent)
- Attend pre-employment Physical Intervention training and shadow shift
- Provide a 10-year employment history and references
- Able to respond to Head Office (S43 postcode) within 30-60 minutes
Job Description:
- Work from home, on call, meeting team at mutual locations
- Assist in transporting vulnerable individuals with challenging behaviour
- Provide support in secure environments as needed
- Ensure safe transport and handling of various scenarios
Services Include:
- Court appearances, custody to prison/court transport
- Transport of high-risk absconders, self-harmers, and those with challenging behaviours
- Medical appointments, supervised contacts, patient watch, placement moves
Education and Skills Required:
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
- Experience with challenging behaviour (desired but not essential)
- Teamwork, self-management, and modern smartphone competency

Progression Routes:
- Senior: £14.00 per hour (£29,120 per annum)
- Senior Supervisor: £15.00 per hour (£31,200 per annum)
