We are currently seeking a Transport and Operations Administrator to join a dynamic and lively office team in Hatfield. This is a Temporary to Permanent position that is available immediately and we are looking for a candidate who is detail-oriented, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
What you need to know about the job:
- Work Pattern: Initial training on days working 8am - 6pm and then going onto Nights
- Working Hours: 8am to 6pm for training (approx. 2-3 weeks) and then either 10pm - 7am or 11pm - 8am
- Working either Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday nights
- Salary: £25,000 whilst training (first 2-3 weeks) and then increased to £28,000
- Easily accessible from Hatfield train station for non-drivers and free parking for drivers
- Weekly pay
- Start ASAP
- Temp to Perm (temping for approx. 6-8 weeks)
Job Responsibilities:
- Updating customer orders and ensuring that all details are accurate
- Liaising with couriers and business customers over the phone to resolve queries
- Closing down jobs on the system and ensuring that all necessary information is entered
- Performing data entry tasks and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with general administrative tasks as needed
What skills do you need for this job?
- Previous administration and/or office based customer service experience
- Transport experience an advantage but not necessary
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Excellent data entry skills and experience with computer systems
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
