Business Analyst Apprentice

Posted by QA Ltd.

Employer description:

Yaspa is an award-winning fintech that provides instant payment and identity services across the UK and Europe.

Founded in 2017 by former Worldpay CTO, James Neville, we work out of a London hub but have many remote team members working flexibly around the world. We're fast-growing, fun and super friendly, and are delighted to be advertising this post to join us. We hope it's right for you!

Responsibilities:

In this role you'll be supporting our Product Development team and working on a variety of exciting projects, such as expanding our Payment capabilities into new markets in Europe and creating innovative solutions using Open Banking to assess affordability.

You'll work directly with a team of software developers building new innovative solutions, as well as the wider product team managing feature development through the full product lifecycle. You'll learn core business analyst skills such as how to gather project requirements, map processes, conduct product development, and perform data modelling.

Required skills:

  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
  • A history of leading and supporting successful projects
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions

Desirable experience:

  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
  • Experience in creating and producing documentation
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions

Working hours:

37.5 hours per week

Benefits:

  • A strong focus on culture - We're a friendly bunch who work hard and support each other; if you're excited by personal and professional growth, and being able to really make your mark, then this is the place for you!
  • Flexible hours and hybrid working - We are in the office 2 days a week (typically Wednesdays and Thursdays), where we collaborate and learn from each other. This is matched by the balance of WFH to allow you to manage your days autonomously.=
  • Choice of tech - It'll probably be a Macbook, but we do give you the choice of which machinery you'd like to work on just in case you're a die-hard Microsoft user
  • WFH set-up allowance - Along with your new laptop, we will also provide you an allowance so you can get your perfect set up sorted
  • Quarterly socials - The Yaspa team is fun and curious, so we make sure we get together to go-kart, throw darts, play board games and generally enjoy ourselves!
  • Mental and physical health support - We provide you with an app that's specially tailored to support your health, as well as access to 24-hour advice and free GP appointments. You can also access counselling and use the app for all parts of your life.
  • Generous holiday allowance - As well as all the UK public bank holidays, you get 28 days of holiday to enjoy and take as you'd like. Emails off, sunnies on!
  • Employee share option scheme - So we all benefit from our growth
  • Matched pension (up to 5% matched contributions) - For planning ahead!

Entry requirements:

  • Level 3 Qualification + at least 12 months of work experience* + robust onboarding plan (learner must work in the organisation for 3 months before signing up)
  • OR business-related degree eg business, finance, economics, maths, etc.
  • OR non-business-related degree + at least 6 months of work experience*
  • OR existing staff member with 2+ years of work experience**
  • Work experience relates to any valid work experience
  • *Existing staff work experience should not be in a business analyst role

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
