Purchase Ledger Clerk

Our client, a growing business from Warrington is looking for a diligent Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team.

This is full-time office based role, 8:30am-5:00pm in Warrington.

Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices and credit notes.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Verify and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Handle queries from suppliers and internal departments.
  • Prepare payment runs, including BACS and cheques.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records.
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support audit processes and provide necessary documentation.
  • Continuously improve processes and systems within the purchase ledger function.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
