Pay rate: £34,514 - £51,179 /per annum (Depending on experience and paid to scale)

Tempest Education are working for a school in the Romford area who are looking for passionate and hardworking working year 1 or year 2 Primary Teacher to join a primary school in September 2024.

The school are looking for an experienced Primary Teacher who will make the children feel valued and confident as individuals and ensure they feel supported, safe and cared for in school. The right Primary Teacher will need to be dynamic, have high expectations and be of a happy disposition. The ideal Primary Teacher will have a strong track record with good pupil progress rates.

The ideal Primary Teacher will need to demonstrate good to outstanding practices, will need to be organised, proactive and have the ability to develop good relationships with staff, children and parents in the school. Will need to be an excellent communicator, organiser and be able to work as part of a team.

If you believe you are the ideal Primary teacher you will have:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or recognised teaching qualification.
  • A valid DBS and successful vetting/safeguarding checks.
  • UK classroom experience in teaching pupils at both Key Stage 1 & 2 level.
  • Experience in supporting the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing feedback to the head of department.
  • Experience of working with Year 1 and Year 2 children with proven progress rates.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring high quality lessons are in place and ensure support staff and children have access to appropriate learning resources.
  • Following and implementing the school policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Addressing and reporting any safeguarding and health and safety concerns as they arise in line with school policy.
  • Supporting the assessment and tracking of children's progress, keeping records and reporting back to parents.
