Waking Night Support Worker

Our client is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to join their 3-bed EBD service in Telford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing support to children and young people with EBD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of residents throughout the night.
  • Monitoring and managing any challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
  • Administering medication as required, following relevant protocols and procedures.
  • Completing relevant documentation and reports accurately.
  • Building positive relationships with residents, promoting independence and self-esteem.
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues and other professionals involved in the care of residents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children and young people with EBD.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting individuals with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Flexibility to work on a rolling rota of 4 nights on followed by 4 nights off.
