About the Role:
We are looking a skilled and reliable Banksman to join a site in Preston. As a Banksman, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe movement of vehicles and machinery on site. You will be responsible for guiding drivers and machinery operators, preventing accidents, and ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of traffic. If you have experience in site safety and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and guide drivers and operators to ensure the safe movement of vehicles and heavy machinery.
- Communicate clearly with vehicle operators using hand signals or radio communication.
- Monitor site conditions and identify potential hazards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Liaise with site management to ensure efficient coordination of traffic movements.
- Assist with general site duties as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Banksman or Traffic Marshall.
- Relevant certification (CPCS or NPORS preferred).
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
- Excellent communication and observational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions efficiently.
