Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an IT Purchasing Officer on a 12-month fixed term contract basis! As part of the wider Technology team you will be responsible for ensuring that IT Purchase Orders are raised and approved, goods and services are received and orders are receipted in an accurate and timely manner.

The IT Purchasing Officer will liaise with teams and individuals across the business to align the purchasing process with our overall business strategy.

What you will do:

  • Raise purchase orders for the Technology department ensuring these are approved and in line with our overall PO process
  • Receipt purchase orders based on the approved goods/services receipt.
  • Maintain and update purchase order tracker (Excel-based).
  • Liaise with Accounts Payable to resolve payment queries.
  • Keep the contractual system updated with with new contracts.
  • Support in the maintenance of various policies, handbooks and frameworks.
  • Support the IT Supplier Relationship Manager function as and when needed with ad hoc activities.

Qualifications

We'd love you to have:

  • The ability to collaborate with internal teams who request and require a broad spectrum of products, services and support.
  • Strong data entry skills with the ability to effectively maintain systems and spreadsheets.
  • A good understanding of purchasing principles and processes and experience with purchase management software and/or automated procurement systems is highly advantageous.
  • A proactive, highly motivated, and flexible individual who is methodical and organised in their approach.
