Our client is seeking temporary team members to support their busy refuse collection team.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Refuse Collectors. This is a temporary position, working full-time from Tuesday to Friday, with shifts from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The role is based in Heywood and offers a competitive pay rate of £12.18 per hour.
You will work as part of a team, under the direction of a driver, to collect refuse, recycling, and other waste materials. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks safely and efficiently. Our ultimate goal is to ensure customer satisfaction through effective and timely waste collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting bins and waste containers from designated areas
- Transporting bins to collection trucks for emptying
- Returning bins to designated collection points and ensuring no bins are missed during collection rounds
Qualifications:
- No formal qualifications required
As a Refuse Collector, you must be physically fit and able to lift and move bins, as well as walk and run with the collection truck. Full training and safety procedures will be provided to ensure your safety and success in the role. Please note that you must have your own steel-toe capped shoes and be available for training before starting shifts.
Previous experience in a lifting or loading role is preferred, and work references must be provided.
