The Role: As the Sales Office Manager, you will oversee both internal and external sales teams, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and maximizing revenue. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Setting and agreeing on sales targets in consultation with your Branch Manager.
  2. Proactively expanding the customer base through effective selling techniques.
  3. Meeting targets set and agreed upon with the Branch Manager.
  4. Engaging with customers on a day-to-day basis via telephone, email, etc.
  5. Conducting regular sales meetings with internal and external sales partners.
  6. Managing stock control to meet agreed stock turn targets.
  7. Balancing service levels to meet customer demand while minimizing costs.
  8. Maintaining customer records and company files securely and responsibly.
  9. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations within the sales and warehouse environment.
  10. Fulfilling other sales-related duties as required.
  11. Participating in the recruitment of internal sales staff alongside the Branch Manager.
  12. Handling appraisals, disciplinaries, and grievance procedures.
  13. Providing coaching and leadership to motivate the sales force.

The Ideal Candidate: We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic, and self-motivated sales professional with supervisory or management experience, or the readiness to step into such a role. Key qualifications include:

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with commercial acumen.
  • Focus, open-mindedness, and confident communication abilities.
  • Natural rapport-building skills and relationship development capabilities.
  • Experience in product/commodity sales with knowledge of negotiating margins.
  • Customer-focused mindset with proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and IT skills.
  • A strong work ethic and a track record of success in previous roles.

Previous or current positions may include Sales Manager, Sales Team Leader, Internal Sales Manager, Telesales Manager, or similar roles.
