Transport Planner/Route Planner
Location: Portsmouth
Salary:
up to £33,000 dependent on experience - there will be an opportunity to develop with the business and once your CPC has been completed this can increase up to £38,000.
Hours of work:
You will be required to work a shift pattern on a rota basis and these will include the following:
- 6AM - 1PM
- 10PM - 4PM
- 11AM - 6PM

Transport Planner
to join their business.
As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for:
- Working within a busy transport office
- Managing the transportation of goods to specialist areas
- Route and load planning
- Scheduling drivers routes
- Client liaison- ensuring that the customer's request are met and updates should any issues arise
- Driver liaison- liaising regularly with the drivers to ensure the smooth delivery of goods within agreed time frames, managing any issues that arise
- Administration to ensure accurate information
The ideal candidate:
- Will have worked within Transport and Logistics previously
- Will ideally have some experience of planning routes although this can be taught
- Will have excellent communications skills
- Will be very organised
- Will have good administration skills and experience
- Will have a good geographical knowledge of Hampshire
- Will be flexible and adaptable to change
