As a SEN Year 1 LSA assistant will be supporting Year 1 students aged 5 - 6 with ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and various other learning disabilities and mental health needs.
This is a fantastic platform for anyone looking to embark on a career in education, as a Psychologist, Counsellor, Therapist and much more thanks to the invaluable hands-on experience you will gain with SEN children and children with mental health needs.

Responsibilities SEN Year 1 LSA assistant:
- Job type - Contract
- Pay - £83.33 - £90 per day
- Work-life balance working hours - 08:30am - 03:30pm (Monday - Friday - term time)
- Great transport links to Hook - M3 and various public transport from Hampshire, Winchfield, Berkshire and around!
- Behaviour monitoring- maintaining the students to preserve a calm learning environment for all in line with the schools guidance.
- 1 - 2 - 1 student support on various subjects on KS1 curriculum from literacy, numeracy and phonics.
- Comply with the Reading based school's policies and procedures, including data protection, health & safety and safeguarding.
- Pastoral care - support to students with tools such as counselling, mentoring and advice
Qualifications - SEN Year 1 LSA assistant:
- Excellent understanding of the KS1 curriculum, you will be supporting with literacy, numeracy and phonics.
- GCSE standard or equivalent of English, Maths and Science. (Grade C and above/ 4 or above).
- Degree 2:1 minimum (preferred, not essential).
