As a Retrofit Project Officer (12 Month FTC), you will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and implementation of retrofit projects in our housing developments. You will work closely with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of retrofit initiatives that improve the energy efficiency and sustainability of our properties.As an organisation we are committed to having a Diverse and Inclusive workforce. We are also proud to be a Disability Confident employer.RequirementsOutline of Key responsibilities for the Retrofit Project Officer (12 Month FTC) To manage the development of retrofit programmes, identifying and prioritizing properties from across THA stock to meet the challenge of all stock being an EPC level C or above by 2030. The programmes will be developed using existing data sources and will set out the scale and scope of retrofit activity with specific delivery plans and timetables to address the challenge. To manage the preparation of bids for grant aid from Government and alternative sources and maintain these working relationships. The funding environment will need to be monitored. relationships with key staff in local authorities will be required to negotiate and prepare the funding bids and put in place contract relationships. This will involve working with colleagues and partners to procure and establish delivery contracts. To monitor the delivery of retrofit programmes working alongside colleagues in the Asset Management Team to ensure progress is in line with delivery planning and budgets. To coordinate the reporting of project outputs to the funding and operational partners and with the Energy Data Warehouse. To use EPC data and first hand knowledge in THA to prepare and prioritise a retrofit delivery programme by local authority area. To identify the scale and scope of investment in each programme and seek agreement of the investment required and how it should be resources. To build working relationships with energy efficiency contracts in local authorities and combined authorities targeted for our stock. To establish an agreed approach to retrofit strategy, individual bid preparation and management. To work with partners as colleagues to ensure that compliant contracts to deliver the programmes are in place and meet funding conditions. To monitor the delivery of programmes and work with THA colleagues to ensure delivery on-time, to budget and to the quality required. To coordinate the compliance response and internal reporting on all retrofit programmes to funders, partners and within THA. To produce reports and analysis of data, tables and graphic representation as required. To be aware of, and keep up to date with, developments in Energy policy and legislation We are looking for someone who has.... Relevant experience in effectively managing projects. Experience of preparing bids for grant aid; including liaison with internal and external stakeholders to prepare and submit bids and establish delivery contracts Experience of monitoring the delivery of retrofit programmes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget Experience of reporting on retrofit project outputs including reporting on performance to external partners, submitting grant claims and completing all other compliance activities Knowledge of current government policy and practice in relation to energy and sustainability Knowledge of energy and sustainability including energy performance, SAP and carbon emissions, and renewable energy technologies Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of projects Ability to produce written reports and presentations for a range of audiences Full driving licence and access to a vehicle BenefitsIn return, we are offering the successful candidate in the Retrofit Project Officer role (12 Month FTC)... Starting salary: £33,115 You have the flexibility to work from either our Blackburn or Halifax office, with a requirement for on-site travel. Hybrid working will entail a commitment of approximately one day per week working at the office, another day per week on site, and the rest of the week working remotely from home.
