Starting Salary of £12,800 per annum, progressing to £22,400 per annum with satisfactory performance and successful completion of the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Apprenticeship qualification.

Fairhive is a non-profit affordable housing provider with ambition. We already provide affordable housing to more than 20,000 people in our community and are striving to do more. We are a dynamic organisation seeking to provide over 1000 new homes by 2025 while also increasing flexibility with the way we work and reducing our environmental impact and improving our sustainability.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in sustainability to achieve a nationally recognised level 4 qualification.

The apprenticeship is a fixed term contract which will run for two years, and will combine on-the-job learning and online study, including online tutorials and webinars.

The role is Aylesbury based with some agile working, working 37 hours per week with one day for study leave.

On the Job you will:

  • Assist with sustainability projects and programmes
  • Help gather data for environmental reporting
  • Support colleague and resident engagement
  • Assist with reviewing sustainability data
  • Develop the skills to provide professional advice on sustainability best practice

In your tutorials you will learn about:

  • Researching the sustainability landscape
  • Identifying sustainability opportunities and threats
  • Strategic development and project planning
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Implementing change

About You

We're looking for someone who understands how to connect with people and is interested in discussing and promoting environmental sustainability.

You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:

  • good communication, numeracy and literacy,
  • you enjoy a challenging role,

Please note that this role is only open to those that do not already have a qualification in sustainability at level 4 or above.
