Paint Plant General Operative
Job Description
Working on a 2-shift rotation after some initial training, the person will be working as a Paint Plant General Operative.
Duties
- Selecting parts to be painted
- Following a set schedule
- Jigging and masking parts as set out in work instructions then hanging on paint plant
- Taking painted parts off the line
- Carrying out quality checks and inspection before packing as instructed
- Keeping the area clean tidy and organised.
Required knowledge, skills or experience
- This person must have at least 1 years' experience of working on ideally a powder coat or wet paint plant
- Experience of working to and understanding engineering drawings is desirable but not essential
- The ability to work unsupervised is required as although in a team of approx. 5 people the individual will be required to work through various jobs without assistance.

Location: Shildon
Hours of work: Dayshift/2 shift rotation
Monday - Thursday:
- 6:00am - 3:30 pm
- 2:30pm - 11:00pm
Friday:
- 6:00am - 12:30pm
- 12:30pm - 7:00pm
Rates of pay: £13.73
