Job description:
- This full-time post is for a band 7 Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) working across Berkshire within the Community Learning Disability Services (Adults).
- You will be a source of expertise for the defined area of specialism and be able to support and develop colleagues working in the field and be a point of reference for colleagues and managers where advice may be requested/needed.
- You will be skilled in the use of advanced assessment, diagnosis and treatment programmes with individual clients who have complex needs (physical health, mental health and/or behaviour that challenges). You will be expected to work alongside other allied health professionals and external organisations within a focused multi-disciplinary team framework.
- You will contribute to the development of service provision within their area of specialism alongside the Learning Disability Service operational team leads and professional leads. This includes ensuring best practice across the area of speciality and the service within Children, Families and All Age (CFAA) Division.
