Stores Operative
The role involves supporting the Stores Supervisor and reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, focusing on a range of tasks within the warehouse and stores. This includes handling incoming and outgoing deliveries, quality assurance, stock management, and general housekeeping to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse operations. The position requires a proactive and adaptable individual with basic computer skills and the ability to perform physical tasks, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.
Store Operative Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and despatch delivery notes, process incoming deliveries, and complete shipping consignment notes
- Conduct quality checks on incoming goods and Radleys manufactured glassware, ensuring adherence to QA procedures
- Pick components for Production & Purchasing Works Orders, replenish kanban stock, and perform regular stock checks
- Operate specialised lifting and handling equipment, such as electric pallet trucks and trolleys
- Maintain tidiness, manage stock locations, and assist with general building maintenance and security tasks
Stores Operative Requirements
- Proficiency in Outlook and Word
- Full clean driving license required (no specialist licenses needed)
- Good health to lift and move heavy items and use stairs regularly
- Willingness to learn new skills and perform tasks at all levels
- Pleasant manner, attention to detail, and a proactive, 'can do' approach to work
