Here at Contract Personnel, we are recruiting a Buyer (Direct Procurement) to join a very successful car manufacturing company based in Norfolk. As a world-renowned sports car manufacturing company, my client is looking to add a driven candidate, that can streamline the processes, as well as increasing efficiency and reducing cost.

Overview

The purpose of the role is to lead the procurement activity for a specific and chosen material group, whilst working closely with professionals across the business. You will be required to work alongside the Engineering, Quality Control and Programme teams across the business.

The Role

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive, Experience-based

Location: Hethel or Wellesbourne

Hours: Standard Business Hours

Expectations

  • Grow, take ownership and develop relationships with world renowned suppliers
  • Continue to manage supplier performances, throughout multiple phases of the build, whilst ensuring that costs, quality and delivery is efficient and correct
  • Gain an established knowledge of the current supply market and requirements
  • Develop and maintain strategies for sourcing and commodities
  • Initiate negotiations with suppliers and provide delivery of material cost targets for new products
