Tuckwells are looking for an enthusiastic Finance professional to join our finance team at our Head Office in Worlingworth Suffolk (near Eye/Framlingham). Our primary business is agricultural and turf machinery sales and after-sales support with £130m turnover across 10 depots with 300 staff across the East of England.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for the production of monthly management information. With an experienced team to support your journey, this role is well suited to someone AAT qualified looking for their next step. Study package will be considered for further qualifications.
Main Duties:
- Assisting the Finance Manager with ensuring monthly MI is completed in a timely manner in line with the month end timetable.
- Completion of certain monthly reconciliations and journals required in order to complete Management Accounts
- Monthly P&L reconciliations to include the following:
- Margin analysis
- Overhead reviews
- Budget reporting on spend categories/budget holders
- Ensure adequate financial records to support all figures
- Monthly system housekeeping routines
- Monthly and Quarterly returns to ONS
- Production of monthly trackers for sales professionals, detailing performance v target
- Assist with YE audit field team - prepping all information as necessary
- Ad hoc items required to assist the Finance Manager/Financial Controller
Qualities of Successful Candidate:
- Advanced spreadsheet skills (e.g: Lookups, Pivots tables etc)
- Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaininga high level of accuracy
- Proactive and acts on own initiative
- A good communicator, able to work both within a team and individually
- Ideally qualified AAT/ACCA/CIMA or interested in studying
Working Hours:
39 hours per week
08:30 - 17:00 (Monday - Thursday) and 08:30 - 16:00 (Friday) with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break each day.
