Role: Mechanical Technician - Engineering Sector
Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
Salary: circa £35000.00, OT & other benefits
Our client innovates, designs, manufactures and installs their own range of world-class CNC machinery that is used within the uPVC double glazing industry. They are the market leader in supplying fully automatic sawing and machining centres for the preparation of window frames, doors and conservatories.
Due to growth and the success of the business they are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our clients growing team working on new and refurbishment machine builds.
The role will be based at their Great Yarmouth headquarters but may involve some travel from time-to-time visiting customers for repairs.
You will need to have a proven record of assembling complex mechanical, pneumatic and electronic assemblies within the manufacturing/engineering industry.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mechanical assembly of parts to engineering drawings with minimal supervision
- Assembly of pneumatic systems
- Fault finding of mechanical and pneumatic systems
- Electrical/Electronics experience would be an advantage
- Ensure assembly build times are met and improved on
- Prioritise workload to meet delivery objectives
- Identify and correct any non-conformances with the machine
- Communicate with management and design teams on issues and ideas for improvement
- Maintain a clean and tidy workplace adhering to company standards
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and policies as set by the company

Specific Job Skills
o Experience in manufacturing/engineering environment
o Mechanical and Pneumatic experience essential
o Electrical/Electronics experience an advantage
Education
o Ideally trained through time served apprenticeship or at least 3 years in a similar role
o NVQ, C&G, HNC desirable
