This role will operate from the head office site in Bury and play a key role in the production of the management accounts.

Description
Management Accountant duties include:
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the Fixed Asset Register accurately on a monthly basis in line with the group accounting policies
- Monthly analysis and investigation of P&L depreciation variances
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving any differences
- Monthly analysis of capex movements to ensure they align with business expectations
- Assist the Commercial Finance team with the preparation of annual budgets and monthly reforecasts for depreciation
- Calculation of half year and year end WIP adjustments
- Adhere to group reporting deadlines
- Work with the internal controls team to ensure that the fixed asset controls are in line with the Group expectation and implement new processes as required
- Assist with audit queries
- Ad hoc project work as required
- National statistics returns
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Be part qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA
- Have a proven track record in a similar role
- Be proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables etc)
- Be an excellent written and verbal communicator
- Working knowledge of the retail industry would be beneficial
Job Offer
