This is an exciting opportunity for an immediately available Credit Controller to join a reputable organisation in Banbury on a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months to cover a maternity leave. Please note that this is an office based role.

Description
The Credit Controller will:
- Effective management of credit limits
- Responsible for timely collection of customer payments
- Investigate held orders that require manual release
- Reconciliation of customer accounts
- Keeping accurate history notes on customer's accounts
- Liaising with internal and external customers
- Query resolution
- Cover with allocation of payments during holidays / sickness
- Review new accounts set up by Sales
- Inform the Credit Manager of any potential Bad Debt
- Cover the Credit Manager in their absence
Profile
The Credit Controller will be/have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of Credit Control processes and reporting
- Experience with accounting systems
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
- Willingness to phone and speak directly to customers
- Ability to work under own initiative and be proactive
- To be able to build effective working relationships at all levels
- Be immediately available/on short notice
