A Major Food Packaging based in Dudley are looking to recruit a Materials Planner to join their successful team on a permanent basis on days.
Salary: £12.75 to £13.25 an hour (DOE)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Primary contact for factory in relation to packaging availability for plan
- Co-ordinate the provision of all materials to site, to deliver the plan
- Smooth planning of inbound stock within the capacity of the site
- Maintain consumables stock used in warehouse, production, and office
- Raise packaging non-conformances to suppliers
- Keep track of residuals stock
- Create and maintain BoM's using 'Vision' package
- Create weekly planning status for the planning manager and customer
- Coach and Manage staff in line with company Behaviours
- Be a role model for others at all times
- Cover WIP planner/other team members as needed
- Utilise and promote the use of Vision in order to streamline processes and communicate effectively across the business.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Good interpersonal skills are vital.
- You must also have the confidence to challenge personnel and communicate with external customers. Computer skills are essential (Including Word and Excel).
- Training within duties will be given to the successful candidate.
- Experience with SAP would be beneficial, as would previous experience in a planning based role.
