RM Recruit are working with a fantastic cause based charity based in Leicestershire to recruit an Interim Director of Fundraising & Communications for their team. Reporting to the CEO, and acting as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this role will see you hold overall responsibility for Individual Giving, Corporate Partnerships, Events and Community Fundraising, Trusts and Grants and Marketing and Communications.
A project and process improvement focused role, your remit will include, but not be limited to:
- Operate as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with the Chief Executive, fellow Directors and Trustees
- Support fellow Directors in presenting information on fundraising activities at the monthly Finance, Fundraising and Risk Committee
- Audit, review and make recommendations and plans around the long-term opportunities to increase income as part of the 2025/2026 Budget
- Full review and benchmarking activity around current fundraising and communication activities
- Revew of the skills, resources, fundraising structure and support across the charity in order to deliver income growth and implement key changes
- Recommendatons and delivery on short term opportunities to increase income in the current financial year and beyond including bid writing, building relationships with companies and digital communications and fundraising
- Development of a new pipeline of restricted and unrestricted income
- Building relationships externally and representing the Charity at meetings and events, as required.
This wide ranging role would suit a highly motivated individual who can demonstrate a strong track record of working at a senior level to successfully develop and implement a wide variety of innovative charitable income generation strategies across a range of fundraising channels. This is a hybrid role that will require some presence each week in the Leicestershire Head Office and will have a duration of 6 months.
