Junior Editor / Proofreader
Location: North West England, Lancashire, Blackpool
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £25,000 - £27,500 per annum
Job Duties:
- Editing written content for accuracy, grammar, style, and tone
- Crafting engaging headlines and subheadings
- Collaborating with writers to develop and refine content
- Ensuring content meets editorial guidelines and standards
- Assisting in content planning and development
- Conducting research to support content creation
- Proofreading and fact-checking content
- Contributing to editorial meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Demonstrable experience in editing or proofreading
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Education:
- A-level or degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or related field
Experience:
- Previous experience in editing or proofreading would be an advantage
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and AP style
- Knowledge of content management systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
