We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Service Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Northamptonshire area. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing Jungheinrich forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites. This is a field-based role requiring a high level of technical expertise and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of Jungheinrich forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs to ensure minimal downtime for customers.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections and safety checks.
  • Provide excellent customer service, offering advice and solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest technology and advancements in the industry.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a forklift service engineer or in a similar mechanical/electrical role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) are desirable.
