**Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work closely with students requiring additional support within the classroom. This is a full-time role, offering a long-term opportunity for the right candidate to make a meaningful contribution to our school community.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEND, ensuring they have access to an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting learning activities to meet students' specific needs.
- Work collaboratively with the SENCO and classroom teachers to develop strategies for supporting student progress.
- Facilitate one-to-one and small group interventions to enhance learning and promote independence.
- Support students with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning or physical difficulties.
- Help maintain a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Monitor and track student progress, reporting on achievements and areas for development.
**Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or care-based setting.
- Experience working with SEND students in a school environment is essential.
- A strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEND and strategies to overcome them.
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one prior to starting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
