Quality and Technical Assistant

Join our client's team as a Quality and Technical Assistant! We are looking for a motivated individual to contribute to their External Manufacturing Quality Assurance team in Slough. In this role, you will work closely with the co-manufacturing team and existing EMs to ensure that they meet our client's high standards of quality. Your primary responsibility will be to support continuous improvement in quality performance by driving compliance and managing risks through effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, offering an attractive hourly rate of £22.50. The working pattern is full-time, with the option for 2-3 hybrid working days on-site. Here's what you'll be responsible for:

  • Data Management: You will be in charge of managing the Co-Manufacturers and Co-Packers according to our client's External Manufacturing Quality Management Standard (EMQM).
  • Hold & Release Expertise: Become an expert in the Hold & Release process within the team, ensuring that products meet all required quality standards before being released.
  • Support SMQ Module: Assist in loading audit reports and S-CAPAs into the SMQ module on Nexus.
  • Process Management: Manage various processes such as the screener process, Veritas spec workflow & approval, BOMs in RADAR, NUBA, MPC, and Relay processes, as well as sharing necessary information with EMs.
  • Complaints Management: Handle internal reporting and follow-up with EMs, create reports for quarterly/annual reviews, and provide ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • External Certification: Collate external certification documents from EMs (e.g., GFSI, Lifestyle) and ensure records are up to date.
  • Supplier and Metrics File: Keep the supplier and metrics files up to date each period.
  • Document Sharing: Support the sharing of documents with EMs through DocuSign.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the EMQA team with ad hoc administrative tasks, and seize the opportunity to participate in audits for personal development.

To be successful in this role, you should be detail-oriented, have excellent organisational skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be interacting with various internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs and technical requirements.
