Training Coordinator

You will be co-ordinating and monitoring the implantation of learning and development initiatives at Gateway Recovery Centre. You will be liaising with the central learning and development function, line managers and approved training providers ensuring training is delivered to high standards.

We have a vacancy for 22.5 hours or 30 hours per week.

As a Training Coordinator you will be:

  • Monitoring non-compliance and initiate management investigations as required.
  • Managing the timetable for internal training, organising the tutors and setting up rooms and equipment.
  • Promoting, organising and coordinating the ‘My Elysium Learning' programme ensuring all staff receives the appropriate level and type of training and development required as agreed with the employee's line manager.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely recording and reporting of information and statistical data through the company's systems and standard PC applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Liaising with educational establishments, training providers and other related agencies to ensure that local training and development is delivered to time, cost and quality standards in accordance with company policy and statutory regulations.
  • Providing support, advice and guidance to local line mangers existing staff and new recruits on all aspects of learning and development.
  • Ensuring DBS compliance by closely monitoring DBS expiry dates and send letters to the staff members one month in advance for the renewals.
  • Monitoring NMC Pins for nursing team members
  • Minuting investigation meetings as required.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Secretarial and/or Administration experience
  • NVQ Level II in Business Administration/willing to work
  • 4 GCSE's at grade C or above (including English and Mathematics) or equivalent
  • Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Awareness and knowledge in following confidentiality and security

Where you will be working:

Location: Bennett's Lane, Widnes, Warrington, WA8 0GT

You will be working at the Gateway Recovery Centre, a state-of-the-art facility which provides care for men and women with complex mental health requirements.

The hospital is split into four distinct areas:

  • Male Autism Service for the challenging and complex needs of adults with Autism and Asperger's syndrome
  • Assessment and rehabilitation for women with complex mental health needs and personality difficulties
  • Specialist inpatient service for older men with complex mental health and physical health needs.
  • Low secure care setting for men with a mental illness with or without personality disorder/mild LD

You will be working alongside the team with the aim to improve the mental health and wellbeing of service users and to help them develop and maintain healthy relationships with others. Gateway Recovery Centre will work to reduce risk behaviours associated with mental health conditions so that our patients can ultimately live successful and fulfilling lives within the community.
