Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a school known for high expectations in behaviour and learning. The ideal candidate will embrace our ethos and contribute positively to our educational environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide support to teachers and students in the classroom, working one-on-one or with small groups.
- Conduct small group interventions to reinforce classroom learning.
- Assist children with statements to ensure they can participate in mainstream learning activities.
- Undertake administrative tasks as needed, such as photocopying and report writing.
- Act as an advocate for safeguarding and child welfare, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working in a classroom setting, preferably with SEN students.
- Possession of a DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Flexibility and a good sense of humour to adapt to the dynamic school environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to supporting students and staff.
