Salary:

£14.50 - £15.20 p.h.(£28,650-£30,000 per annum) (dependent on experience and skills)

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Lead/Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the new engine stand assembly team. This role is ideal for someone looking to further develop their supervisory and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with a diverse team to manage the assembly provision, ensuring that engine stands are assembled to specification and dispatched on time. Responsibilities include supervising the assembly process, ensuring spare part kits are ready, performing quality checks, and maintaining good housekeeping in the assembly area.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the assembly team to ensure the engine transportation stands meet specifications and dispatch deadlines.
  • Monitor consumable stock levels for smooth assembly operations.
  • Motivate and develop the assembly team to keep skills and knowledge current.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to plan and delegate tasks.
  • Read and interpret technical build instruction manuals/drawings.
  • Manage product deliveries and storage in the ESA facility.
  • Ensure spare part kits are ready for the assembly line.
  • Perform quality checks and testing to ensure products meet specifications.
  • General assembly duties, including maintaining the assembly area.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the UK Management team.

About You:

  • Proven experience in supervising assembly and sub-assembly operations.
  • Experience using hand-held tools.
  • Ability to read and understand build instruction manuals and ensure products meet required standards.
  • A mechanical/manufacturing qualification (i.e. NVQ) is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Experience with ERP systems (i.e. SAP) is desirable.
  • FLT and overhead crane experience is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid driving licence and passport.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK or overseas if required.
