Finance Manager

I have been asked to assist my client with their current recruitment to find their next Finance Manager Finance Manager.

The company ae well established and looking to grow!

As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organisation and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.

This role is a part time position – 16 hours / week. There is scope that as the business continues to grow, that the hours may increase over the next 6-12 months.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintenance of accurate and timely accounting records sufficient to comply with internal and external reporting purposes.
  • Support the Finance Assistant with transactional duties including Sales and Purchase Ledger
  • Managing cashflow and maintaining the invoice discounting facility.
  • To oversee all day-to-day accounting activities including payroll.
  • Oversight and responsibility for monthly reconciliation of key control accounts including all bank reconciliations.
  • Responsible for monthly review of Aged Debtors and Creditors and to follow up outstanding balances as required.
  • Responsibility for the control and operation of payment processes, including supplier BACS payments.
  • To complete the timely and accurate completion of the staff monthly payroll, and Sole traders.
  • Overseeing the financial administration of new starters, leavers along with monthly payroll contract changes.
  • Oversight and maintenance of accurate monthly staffing records.
  • To ensure all deadlines for PAYE, Automatic Pensions and MER are all met

Skills required:

  • 2+ years experience of working in an office environment at a senior level with extensive financial knowledge.
  • AAT level 4 or Similar highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Xero and Quickbooks is highly desirable
  • Knowledge and experience of payroll including AE Pensions, and PAYE.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills with an ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
  • Competent and effective user of IT, including Excel and Word as well as the ability to learn IT software relatively quickly.
  • Attention to detail and an analytical mind.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and external bodies at all levels.
