Retail Partnership Manager

Royal Collection Trust, a department of The Royal Household and a registered charity, is responsible for the care and preservation of the Royal Collection, one of the largest and most important art collections in the world, as well the public opening of Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, the Palace of Holyroodhouse and all associated commercial operations.

Operating out of onsite shops, through select partners and increasingly online, our retail business has an annual turnover of £28million. Ninety percent of products are exclusive to Royal Collection Trust, with an emphasis on support for UK manufacturing.

Having just refreshed our purpose, we have ambitious plans for the future making this an exciting time to join RCT. In this new role, you'll be responsible for the strategic oversight and expansion of partnership accounts to drive revenue growth outside Royal Collection Trust's own retail channels, including wholesale partners, licensing and royalty agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Considering our brand and purpose, you'll develop and implement appropriate strategies for new wholesale and global partnership opportunities to diversify and expand our income streams.
  • Leading our existing wholesale business, you'll manage partner relationships, develop promotion strategies, build product knowledge, and ensure product availability to maximise sales.
  • Working with colleagues across RCT, you'll be responsible for the fulfilment of wholesale orders from receipt to despatch.
  • Exploring potential new partnerships, you'll carry out due diligence, negotiate contract terms, agree pricing structures, and ensure compliance.
  • And you'll collaborate with the new product team and influence product development to capitalise on sales opportunities.

Essential Criteria

  • With previous account management experience, you know how to maintain complex third-party relationships with a wide range of companies, and pro-actively establish new partnerships.
  • Previous experience in the retail industry, ideally with an understanding of luxury domestic markets
  • Digitally literate, you'll be able to confidently work on multiple systems including creating spreadsheets and using bespoke purchasing software.
  • Experienced in business planning with the ability to accurately forecast and model projections of varying complexity.
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and independently, you'll have lots of initiative, resourcefulness and a hands-on approach.
  • With great interpersonal skills, you can quickly build collaborative relationships with a range of colleagues and external stakeholders.
