Domus Recruitment are working with a successful social care charity, that are looking for 2 x Assessor & Internal Verifiers to join their Scottish Qualifications Authority Centre, to cover the Aberdeenshire & Central Belt areas.
This position is ideal for someone that can assess & verify candidates working towards SVQ or MA awards, evaluating candidate skills & knowledge as they progress through their learning journey. You will also support other assessors to understand and apply standards, checking assessment approaches prior to verification by SQA.
Key Responsibilities of an Assessor & Internal Verifier:
- Review candidate progress, give feedback and provide support to help the learner progress.
- Holistically plan assessments in accordance with awarding bodies requirements and procedures
- Assess and evaluate candidates to determine competency
- Develop programmes of learning
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to facilitate an enjoyable and productive working environment.
Assessor & Internal Verifier Requirements:
- Based anywhere in Aberdeenshire or the Central Belt
- SVQ Vocational Qualification SCQF Level 7 minimum, ideally SCQF 9 or equivalent
- SVQ Qualification in Assessment (D23 & D33 or A1 or L&D 9DiLevel 3)
- PDA External/Internal Verifier award for SVQ or willingness to work towards
- Demonstrable experience in Health and Social Care
