Your new role :

We have an excitingopportunity for a Regional Lead Health, Safety, Quality and Environment Managerto join our team, based from the Blantyre office - and there has never been abetter time to join!

  • To drive safety performance and add social value to the regional works portfolio through the implement and maintain compliance with the Story Contracting Limited integrated HSQE CORE Management System across the Region, to maintain Story Contracting Limited Principal Contractor Licence, RISQS and Achilles Certifications and ISO 9001/14001/45001/44001 Certifications.
  • Operational lead for HSQE within Region and representing HSQE at a regional Senior Management Team level.
  • Professional support and guidance to the businesses to enable the effective management of health & safety in accordance with, and by contributing towards HSQE Policies, Standards, Procedures and Operation licenses.

Responsible formanaging the development of a positive health & safety and sustainabilityculture focused upon accident prevention and improving the health & safetyof all personnel on-site and adding social value to the project offerings.

  • Leadership of Operational HSQE Team
  • Provisions of advice and support
  • Designing and implementing 1st line assurance and governance
  • Event Investigations and Emerging Risk Reviews
  • Reporting and trend analysis
  • Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives

What you'll need to succeed :

The Ideal Candidate:

Degree level orequivalent in occupational health and safety (preferred)
Degree level orequivalent in environment/ecology (optional)
Recognised quality /auditing qualification
Chartered/full memberof IOSH/IEMA - desired.
PTS / CSCS card holderwith good working knowledge of rail industry standards
>5 years'experience of managing HSQE within construction and rail engineeringenvironments.
Excellent verbal andwritten communications skills
Experience managing ateam
