Experience from within the water industry is preferable, with knowledge of wastewater treatment, engineering delivery processes and detailed process design essential.

Leading manufacturer are actively recruiting for an experienced Process Engineer to assist withdesigning, optimising, and implementing various wastewater treatment processes. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective treatment of water for various diverse sectors including Municipal, Industrial and Environmental Protection from major Infrastructure / Construction activities and projects.

This will involve:

  • Designing and developing wastewater treatment processes and solutions and performing detailed process designs and simulations to optimise wastewater treatment solutions.
  • Support development of laboratory experiments and pilot-scale studies to evaluate the effectiveness of different treatment methods, to troubleshoot any operational issues, and validate proposed solutions
  • Assist in design, delivery and commissioning of solutions including production of standard deliverables (P&IDs, Outline Drawings, Control Philosophies, HAZOPs etc.)
  • Search and implement new technologies, processes & product partners to ensure optimal solutions & opportunity close out
  • Assist in potential R&D opportunities to further improve/develop solutions offered across all products & sectors.

Experience required for the position of Process Engineer

  • Engineering degree in civil / mechanical / chemical / wastewater or other directly related degree
  • Chartered or incorporated engineer status and membership of a professional institution
  • Excellent technical, analysis, data interpretation skills & in identifying project / client needs
  • Proven work experience in water process engineering field
  • Expert in wastewater treatment technologies & detail process design
  • Sound knowledge of process related standards, design requirements & project delivery process
  • Optimisation & troubleshooting skills, related risk identification, management & mitigation
  • Report writing & documentation development
  • Staff supervision, mentoring & training
  • Desired - municipal water industry experience
  • Full uk driving licence
