Temporary RE Teacher Bury - September

We are supporting a secondary school in Bury, who are recruiting for a temporary teacher of RE on a full time basis. The role will start in September and will be for the whole of the upcoming academic year. This school is a faith school and holds religious education as a very important subject that all students must take from year 7 to 11.

This position is five days a week, and the successful teacher will teach RE to key stage 3 & 4 classes of varying academic abilities. You will be asked to deliver pre-planned lessons that will excite the students as well as enhance their academic abilities in the subject. You will be required to attend departmental meetings and parents evenings. You will also be required to mark the work you deliver, and provided regular feedback to students & help them to progress in the subject. The department is extremely welcoming and supportive.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Degree educated with a good classification
Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in Geography or RE
Previous experience teaching History to young people (which we can reference)
Experience of teaching in a UK Secondary School (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential)
Up to date prevent awareness & FGM training issued in the last 3 years (essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate that is on the update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide at least two professional child related references to cover the last two years
