The role involves delivering pre-planned science lessons and providing general cover when needed, with no planning and marking required.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Deliver engaging science lessons to secondary school students using pre-set lesson plans.
- Provide general cover across various subjects as required, ensuring continuity of learning for students.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Utilise a range of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor student engagement and participation, providing support and encouragement.
- Liaise with other staff members to ensure a cohesive educational experience for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in science.
- Experience teaching in a secondary school environment.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and needs within the school.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and student development.
