Please note this is a NHS Band 8b role so max hourly rate is £30.18 per hour -this is also a 20 hour per week contract with at least 2 monthly onsite meetings

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to lead the delivery of our digital transformation programmes within my clients Pathology Network.

The postholder will strategically lead, manage and coordinate the delivery of the digital transformation programmes for the Pathology Network. They will oversee and help develop the Pathology IT teams, ensuring adequate support, resilience and capacity for the network.

Responsibilities

Finish delivering the Diagnostics Digital Roadmap, with responsibility for all contracts within both programmes of work, worth over £15m over their respective lifecycles. Reporting through multiple approval forums to Board level in NHS Trusts and ICB and NHSE.

Develop and implement a future digital and IT roadmap for the pathology network, working closely with IT directors across the county to ensure support and that all interdependencies are considered.

  • Recruit and manage project teams as required including subject matter experts from the operational teams and specialist resources brought in to support deployments.
  • Work collegiately with supplier project managers to ensure that procured systems are implemented in full accordance with the contract, on time, to the required scope, within the prescribed budget and meeting agreed quality standards.
  • Manage project budgets totaling over £1m per annum and in total more than £15m for the complete lifecycles of the projects
  • Provide line management for the Pathology IT and Systems Manager and other roles moved into the Pathology Network
