About the Role

The Import Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the documentation and regulatory compliance of import activities. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Documentation Management: Prepare and organise essential import documentation to support business operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to import regulations, trade laws, and customs requirements, supporting the import team effectively.
  • Operational Support: Liaise with customs brokers, suppliers, and other external partners to streamline operations.
  • Data Management: Accurately enter and maintain import data in management systems.
  • Customer Support: Address inquiries related to import documentation and processes from customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Cost Optimisation: Work collaboratively to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other reasonable duties as required by management.

Ideal Candidate

The company is looking for a detail-oriented professional with a keen eye for accuracy in document preparation and data entry. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and international trade laws.
  • Proficiency in import management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset and excellent team-working capabilities.
  • Desirable: 5 GCSEs including Mathematics and English Grade 4 (or equivalent), experience in Shipping/Logistics and/or Customs, and relevant certification in logistics or shipping documentation.
