We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for an immediate start, to work 1-2-1 with a reception pupil. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and is committed to helping them achieve their full potential.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide 1-2-1 support to a reception pupil, assisting with their educational and social development.
- Work closely with the classroom teacher to deliver support across all areas of the curriculum.
- Implement tailored learning activities to meet the pupil's individual needs.
- Monitor and record the pupil's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist with the development of social skills and positive behaviour in the classroom.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEND.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children, SEND experience is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- A proactive approach to learning and the ability to engage children in educational activities.
