Financial Control Manager | NNQ - Qualified Actuary

My client, a leading UK insurer are seeking to appoint an Actuary (or nearly qualified actuary) to their internal controls team.
Working within Group finance, you will be helping to implement new controls framework, for financial and non-financial disclosures.
You will working with senior actuaries across the organisation and help identify risks and test controls across their business. This will encompass: annuities, protection, ESG, model-risk, modelling and IFRS17. There are a huge variety of interesting and complex processes that need to be challenged and tested.
This role would best suit an Actuary (or qualified by experience actuary), who enjoys understanding and challenging processes, and who has a deep understanding of IFRS17 (from an audit or implementation capacity).
The team are in the office twice a week, and the role can be based in Cardiff, Hove or London.
Candidates must:
- Be a qualified Actuary (or qualified by experience actuary)
- Has worked in an audit capacity, ideally with IFRS17 experience
- Have the ability to build and nurture internal relationships with senior stakeholders.
