Administrator/ Estimator

Due to continued growth, Our client a specialist within their field are looking for an Estimator/ Administrator to join and support their existing team.

Fully office based in Farnborough, Hampshire they are specialist manufacturers of Aluminium products and supply direct to the trade market.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar a manufactoring/ factory office environment although experience within the industry is not required as full training will be given.

Responsibilities and Duties

As well as day to day office duties you will also be required to assist their customers with their enquiries which will be by a mixture of face to face, telephone and email contact. Whilst learning the industry and gaining product knowledge you will also be required to carry out estimates on their specialised software.

Qualifications and Skills

Although full training will be given you will be required to have good computer skills, be able to offer a high level of customer service to their clients and have confidence when assisting them with their needs whether it be by telephone, email or face to face.

Job Purpose
Estimators/Administrators ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the office, and support the work of management and other staff.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Estimators/Administrators perform a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:
  • Use computer word processing, spreadsheet, and database software to prepare reports, memos, and documents
  • Prepare and send outgoing faxes, mail, and courier parcels
  • Forward incoming general e-mails to the appropriate staff member
  • Code and file material according to the established procedures
  • Update and ensure the accuracy of the organization's databases
  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to management and other staff
  • Word processing
  • Databases
  • Spreadsheets
  • E-mail
  • Internet
  • Reception
  • Answer general phone inquiries using a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide customers with accurate estimates based on their requirements
  • Direct phone enquiries to the appropriate staff members
  • Reply to general information requests with the accurate information
  • Greet clients/suppliers/visitors to the organization in a professional and friendly manner
