Vacancy - Junior Web Developer
ESS Employment Ltd are recruiting a Junior Web Developer on behalf of an established client in the Yate area. This is an exciting opportunity for a web developer to play a key role in the web and digital operations of a fast-growing company. The company operates in the manufacturing and supply of products related to access control and identification.
Duties for the role:
- Develop and maintain websites using WordPress
- Design visually appealing, responsive websites with a focus on user experience (UX) and user interface (UI)
- Implement best practices for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to enhance site visibility and rankings
- Integrate and manage Google Analytics to track and report on website performance and user behaviour
- Optimise websites for speed, performance, and SEO
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design and development with business objectives
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging website issues
- Continuously stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in web design, development, SEO, and analytics
- Support the marketing team leader with design-oriented tasks, not limited to web design
The successful candidate:
- Proven experience working with WordPress (custom themes and plugins are a plus)
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices
- Experience with Google Analytics and other analytical tools
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with UI/UX design principles
- Knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first development
- Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
