The role

As the Customer Service Manager, you will be the primary leader for the customer service department, always ensuring a professional and friendly interaction with suppliers and customers.

You will be responsible for overseeing the administration team, implementing service excellence strategies, ensuring process compliance, project management, and assisting the Operations Director with HR and holiday coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the customer service team in delivering excellent customer service and be a main point of contact for queries and complaints
  • Implement and improve customer service systems and ensure process compliance
  • Liaise with the other department managers (sales/technical/operations and ecommerce) to resolve customer issues
  • Identify areas of high friction and areas of risk and tackle root cause

The Ideal Candidate:

You should:

  • Have a proven background as a Customer Service Manager, Supervisor, or Team Leader. Experience in the Wholesale Catering Equipment sector is a plus, but not essential.
  • Be comfortable using Microsoft Office, CRM, and other IT systems.
  • Have demonstrated ability to raise standards and work independently.
  • Be friendly, and approachable, with a superb telephone manner.
  • Be clear, concise, and capable of leading with confidence.
  • Be someone who isn't afraid to hold others accountable while leading from the front.
  • Be a lateral thinker who enjoys tackling challenges creatively.
