We're expanding our External Contracts & Delivery team and are on the lookout for a talented Programme Surveyor to help us in our mission of investing in people and places to build a stronger, more sustainable future.

This dynamic role entails overseeing fire risk management, coordinating diverse investment projects, and addressing related issues across your designated locality. You'll play a crucial part in maintaining our housing stock and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Some of the things we are looking for:

  • Experience in the housing or construction industry
  • Knowledge of Building safety regulations, particularly CDM, asbestos management, site safety management and fire safety requirements (including knowledge of fire risk actions and Stay Put Policy)
  • A sound understanding of construction to deliver a broad range of property related activities.
  • A relevant technical qualification in construction or building services (e.g., HNC/ HND in building studies or equivalent)
  • Experience of customer consultation in a planned maintenance/construction setting
  • Knowledge of building construction, maintenance, contracts, and procurement
  • Good management skills and experience of successfully managing project teams, external contractors and liaising with other building consultants/professionals to deliver programmes of maintenance work.

While this role is home-based, a full UK driving licence and ability to travel across our Severn locality (Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and Gloucestershire) is essential. Business mileage expenses are reimbursed from your home address as per HMRC mileage rates. Please refer to the attached map for our locality areas.
