Key Responsibilities for a Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities.
  • Support individual students or small groups with their learning, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist with the assessment and recording of student progress.
  • Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school trips.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and organizing resources.

Requirements for a Teaching Assistant:
