We are looking for a switched on, lively, dynamic person with tonnes of drive to join the Phoenix team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role: Artiste Booker

Purpose: Manage a portfolio of productions and partners and work alongside assistant directors to facilitate the booking of supporting artistes, small parts and voice over actors from Phoenix's extensive database of artistes. You will be the main contact for communications with both productions and artistes alike.

Number of hours: 35 hours/week

Length of contract: Permanent

Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 (depending on experience)

FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE ROLE:

Hours: Full time Mon-Fri - office hours vary between 8am and 8pm (in 8 hour shifts) plus overtime and occasional weekend work as required.

Location: The role is based in our offices in The Bottleyard Studios, Bristol. But willingness to travel to our Cardiff Offices and to visit productions when required is essential. We offer the ability to work from home one day a week when working a late shift (12pm-8pm) after successful completion of the probation period.

Brief outline of the role (this is not exhaustive by any means); As one of the Artiste Bookers, you will learn to use our bespoke database of artistes. You will learn to interpret client's needs and cast registered artistes for roles, as per the briefings received from client's. You will hold a portfolio of productions, where you will be the main contact and will work alongside assistant directors to facilitate their casting needs. You will communicate with our artistes about work offers and requirements using various modes of communication, such as email, phone and text. You will effectively manage the offices administrative needs. You will be the first port of call for incoming queries from both artists and clients alike and be able to respond or transfer calls/forward queries to the appropriate team member. You will start the role at a more junior level, but learn quickly on the job to become an integral part of our small and thriving team.

Experience:

  • Experience of independently leading the day-to-day delivery of multiple complex projects.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment and having to react quickly to requests and reprioritise workload as necessary
  • Track record for managing multiple tasks at once and meeting tight and often changing deadlines

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Comfortable using Microsoft and social media savvy
  • Ability to drive is desirable

  • Have the ability to learn quickly and to retain lots of information
  • A friendly demeanour and excellent communication skills along with fantastic organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Be a team player but have the initiative and ability to manage your own workload effectively
